Claim Rep Sr, SIU Casualty (Hybrid or Remote)

Summary:

Exciting opportunity to join our Special Investigations Unit (SIU). In this role you will be handle multi line position handling predominantly Casualty and some Physical Damage claims. May require handling claims for multiple states. The individual will need to possess or be able to obtain the appropriate state adjuster licenses required by state statute. 

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and Adjust questionable No-Fault, Med Pay, Bodily Injury and Un/Underinsured motorists claims with some exposure to litigation management.
• Communicate effectively, timely and professionally through oral and written means including communications with insureds, claimants, attorneys and Attorney General's Office inquires.
• Draft responses to consumer complaints and Division of Insurance inquiries.
• Direct external investigations being handled by field personnel.
• Interpret policies, coverage and endorsements, apply technical knowledge to assigned losses and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Conduct recorded interviews as specified by company standards.

Skills/Abilities:

• Strong telephone customer service skills and the ability to empathize with claimants and customers are needed.
• Posses a high level of initiative and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and in a team with high productivity expectations in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong business and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. There is some exposure to litigation management.

Qualifications:

• 2 - 4 years of Casualty claims handling experience is required.
• Exposure to SIU related issues preferred.
• Insurance coursework preferred.
• Bilingual skills a plus.
