Claim Rep, Sr, No Fault (Hybrid or Remote)

Summary
In this role, you will receive comprehensive training and development as you learn to manage a claim inventory from initial notice of loss through resolution. Depending on business needs and training progression, you may also have opportunities to handle claims from other lines of business and gain exposure to litigation management and arbitration matters.
As a Claims Adjuster, you will:
- Review and screen new losses to identify potential coverage exposures.
- Conduct thorough investigations to determine liability.
- Evaluate claim values and negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and other involved parties.
- Issue timely and accurate claim payments when appropriate.
- Maintain frequent professional communication, both written and verbal, with customers, medical providers, attorneys, and internal business partners.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while demonstrating empathy and professionalism during challenging situations.
- Apply sound business judgment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy, organization, and confidentiality.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of statutes and regulations governing assigned jurisdictions.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree, professional-level knowledge in a specialized field, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Experience
- 0 to 2 years of related experience, OR
- Associate degree plus 2 to 4 years of related experience.
- Experience with Guidewire.
- Prior claims adjusting, contact center claim services, or similar customer-focused experience preferred.
- One (1) year of Physical Damage claims adjusting experience, OR
- One (1) year of Contact Center Claim Services experience with related claims, medical, or legal exposure preferred.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and business practices accurately.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- General knowledge of insurance industry practices, standards, and concepts, with the ability to learn and apply them in a business environment.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to quickly learn new responsibilities and adapt to changing business needs.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to organize and prioritize work to successfully manage claim inventory and meet productivity goals.
- Strong telephone customer service skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy and professionalism.
- Basic computer proficiency, including CRT/PC skills and accurate keyboarding abilities.
- Solid mathematical aptitude and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
- Insurance industry coursework or professional education is a plus.
- Successful completion of the company's Claims Training Program is required.

Pay Transparency: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Pay Range: $52,100 - $87,700 (non-exempt)
