Company:  MAPFRE

The Common Platforms team at MAPFRE USA supports Business Automation, Enterprise Content Management, and Business Process Management capabilities. We provide foundational systems and capabilities that support several platforms and experiences for MAPFRE USA’s workforce, agents, and policyholders.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager (TPM) to lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of our Enterprise Content & Business Process Management (BPM)  platforms. This individual will be responsible for evolving MAPFRE’s content and automation capabilities to meet the demands of the enterprise – streamlining workflows, driving intelligent automation, and transforming business critical technology platforms.

If you’re passionate about simplifying complexity, enabling scalable platforms, automating workflows, and collaborating across business and disciplines to drive business value we’d love to connect.

As the Technical Product Manager for Enterprise Content, you will deeply understand the business’ needs, develop a product vision and strategy, and translate them into a product backlog, while driving delivery with a cross-functional team of engineers and IT professionals. What you’ll do:

  • Own the platform lifecycle for enterprise content portfolio (document management, business process management, and workflow automation platforms and solutions)— from discovery and evolution to governance and eventual retirement.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, compliance, and business leaders to align platforms with enterprise needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to define and execute platform strategies that support operational efficiency, content governance, and business automation.
  • Drive platform and process modernization — enabling transitions to cloud-native architectures, real-time orchestration, composable micro services, and self-service.
  • Define and manage program roadmaps, milestones, and delivery plans across multiple teams.
  • Champion integration between platforms and other enterprise systems (e.g., Guidewire, Appian, UiPath, Docusign, custom applications, and other platforms and products, etc.).
  • Translate complex business needs into scalable platform strategies and deliverables.
  • Shape the product backlog with Product Owners and stakeholders, ensuring prioritization aligns with business value and enterprise direction.

Support change management, stakeholder engagement, and platform adoption across business units.

Track program outcomes and report on progress, challenges, and measurable impact.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Science, or a related field preferred. Experience in a technical field can be considered for candidates with a strong understanding of technology concepts of the role.

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years in technical product and/or program management with a focus on enterprise IT platforms - leading planning, delivery, evolution, and lifecycle management
  • Hands on familiarity with enterprise content and document management platforms (e.g., OpenText, SharePoint, etc.) and workflow/business process management (BPM) platforms (e.g., Appian, Pega, or similar)

Experience modernizing and transforming legacy content/document platforms and workflows

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong grasp of platform lifecycle management, technical program delivery, and cross-system integration
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, and public cloud offerings like AWS
  • Understanding of compliance, metadata strategies, content governance, and information architecture
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and being a Scrum Master; certification (CSM, CSPO) a plus
  • Experience or strong interest and learning in AI/ML-driven platforms, automation, and technologies
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and executive reporting/presentation skills
  • Exposure to project or portfolio management frameworks is a plus
