Sr Manager, BI Analytics & Reporting

We are seeking an experienced Sr Manager for the Claims Business Intelligence & Analytics Reporting team.
This is a highly visible role, requiring regular attendance on-site at our Webster location.
The Sr Manager will lead a team of BI Analysts to ensure timely and accurate reports and analysis used to drive strategy across the enterprise. Responsible for planning, priotizing and managing processes, people and projects. We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in analytics with a passion for developing and mentoring the team.
Depth in Property & Casualty Insurance is required. Proficiency in Data Curation and Visualization and Data Mangement is also required. Competent skills in SAS or SQL are also required. PowerBI exp is a plus. Management experience is required.
Primary Responsibilities:
▪ Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people, and projects arising from various functional areas simultaneously.
▪ Develop and supervise analyst-level employees and/or subordinate managers.
▪ Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting employees with comprehensive policies and processes.
▪ Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of analyst and data employees and effective collaboration with stakeholders.
▪ Implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.
▪ Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget, and business within the Data Analytics & Reporting unit and design and implement solutions to meet these needs.
▪ Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to stakeholders within and outside of the company.
▪ Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics.
▪ Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
Miminum Education / Experience:
▪ Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience
▪ 4-6 years' experience or equivalent related knowledge OR
▪ Associate's Degree equivalent with 6-8 years’ experience
Experiences & Mobility:
Incumbents in this role should have at least 3 of the following experiences:
▪ Taking on a role in different function, such as IT or Advanced Analytics, to bring increased knowledge and perspective back to Business Intelligence (especially important for the Advisor and Senior Advisor levels)
▪ Participating in or leading a cross functional team
▪ Participating in or leading complex projects
▪ Completing an assignment in another team/department
▪ Working on a global project team
