Job Summary


Position is located in Webster, MA and is a Hybrid Schedule (3 days in office/2 remote)

 

The Senior HR Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful Business Partner acts as both an employee and employer champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the business partner seeks to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education: Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent related experience preferred.
Experience: 6 - 8 years within an HR role and a Bachelor's Degree in related field or Associates Degree equivalent or 8 or more year experience. 
Knowledge: Extensive level of professional knowledge in the field across multiple disciplines. Integrates and evaluates new advancements in industry, concepts, techniques and standards to contribute to successful business results.

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation policies, organizational design, employee relations, diversity, performance management and federal and state employment laws
  • Provide strategic and tactical HR direction to effectively partner with directors, managers and supervisors of assigned areas to enable business objectives
  • Consult with leadership in areas such as organizational assessment, succession planning, organizational structure and work force planning to strengthen organizational capability
  • Counsel employees and managers regarding employee relations issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution, discipline and /or terminations in line with local culture and the business and legal environment
  • Drive employee engagement and satisfaction through promotion of a positive company culture while balancing employee concerns with all levels of company goals
  • Participates in regular meetings with respective business units
  • Consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions)
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
