Mapfre is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of key capabilities within our Guidewire BillingCenter platform. This role will own critical billing functions including invoicing, payment plans, fee management, collections, and customer billing experiences that directly impact our policyholders and business operations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a product leader who combines deep insurance billing expertise with strong technical acumen and experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions in Guidewire environments.
What You'll Do
Lead Billing Product Strategy & Delivery
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for BillingCenter capabilities across the billing lifecycle.
- Lead products through the full lifecycle, from discovery and strategy through delivery, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with business stakeholders, engineering teams, architects, operations leaders, and vendors to deliver scalable billing solutions.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with business objectives and enterprise technology strategy.
Own Core Billing Functions
Lead and enhance capabilities supporting:
- Customer invoicing and statement generation
- Payment plans and payment scheduling
- Fee assessment and management
- Collections and delinquency management
- Payment processing integrations
- Billing customer service operations
- Regulatory and compliance-driven billing requirements
Drive Business Value & Modernization
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable, technically feasible solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and billing accuracy.
- Leverage analytics, customer feedback, and performance metrics to drive product decisions.
- Partner with technology teams to modernize billing capabilities through cloud technologies, automation, AI, and digital transformation initiatives where appropriate.
Partner Across the Enterprise
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Compliance, Architecture, Development, and Quality Engineering teams.
- Define and prioritize product backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements.
- Facilitate decision-making across multiple stakeholder groups while balancing business priorities, technical constraints, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure product solutions meet governance, security, privacy, and risk management standards.
Lead and Influence
- Provide leadership across cross-functional Agile teams.
- Communicate product strategy, priorities, and outcomes to both technical and business audiences.
- Mentor Product Managers and Technical Product Managers.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of Product Management or Technical Product Management experience.
- Experience owning enterprise applications through the full product lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or Lean practices.
- Experience partnering closely with engineering and architecture teams to deliver complex technology solutions.
- Proven ability to manage product backlogs, roadmaps, and prioritization decisions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Insurance industry experience required.
- Experience with Guidewire BillingCenter strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of insurance billing operations, including:
- Invoicing
- Payment Plans
- Fee Management
- Collections
- Billing Customer Service
- Payment Processing
- Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and Guidewire ecosystem integrations.
- Experience leading billing platform modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with insurance regulatory requirements related to billing and payments.
- Experience working in highly regulated financial or insurance environments.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Salary Range
$110,000 - $150,000
