Date:  Sep 8, 2026
Location:

Webster, MA, US

Company:  MAPFRE

Summary

Mapfre is seeking a Solutions Delivery Manager – Data Enablement Lead to drive the adoption and operationalization of our enterprise Data Governance, Stewardship, and Data Enablement capabilities, while serving directly as a Data Steward for assigned data domains. This role will help turn our governance framework into practical, repeatable ways of working across data domains—serving as a hands-on Data Steward for assigned domains and enabling other Data Owners and Data Stewards to define, govern, maintain, and improve trusted enterprise data.

This highly collaborative role sits at the intersection of Data Governance, Data Enablement, Business Domains, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Products, and Technology. A key focus will be enabling business domains to effectively manage and use their data, while driving adoption of our enterprise metadata and knowledge-management capabilities and strengthening business glossary, ownership, lineage, certification, and stewardship practices.

As a key leader, you'll partner with business and technology teams to establish clear accountability for data, improve discoverability and trust, and create a sustainable stewardship operating model across the organization. You'll help make governance actionable—not simply a framework—by enabling domains to effectively manage, understand, and leverage their data, while supporting Mapfre's broader Data & AI strategy.

What You’ll Do

Data Stewardship & Governance Operating Model

  • Serve as the Data Steward for assigned business domains, ensuring data is trusted, well-documented, and fit for business use.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to maintain data definitions, ownership, quality standards, and governance practices.
  • Facilitate governance discussions and help resolve cross-functional data ownership, quality, and policy issues.
  • Promote accountability and adoption of data governance across the organization.

Metadata & Business Glossary Enablement

  • Drive adoption of enterprise data governance tools, such as Collibra or Atlan.
  • Establish and maintain metadata standards, business glossaries, and governance workflows.
  • Improve data discoverability by connecting business definitions, ownership, lineage, and key data assets.
  • Coach business teams on metadata and stewardship best practices.

Data Quality, Lineage & Trust

  • Partner with business and technology teams to improve data quality, transparency, and trust.
  • Coordinate the identification, analysis, and resolution of data quality issues.
  • Leverage data lineage and impact analysis to support governance and business decision-making.
  • Monitor governance and data quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Data Products & Governance by Design

  • Embed governance, quality, and ownership requirements into data products and analytics solutions.
  • Partner with Data Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Analytics teams to integrate governance throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Support standards and best practices for data products, data contracts, and critical data elements.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Build strong relationships across business and technology teams to advance data governance goals.
  • Lead workshops to define business terms, data standards, and quality expectations.
  • Drive alignment and consistency in stewardship practices across multiple domains.

Delivery, Adoption & Operational Excellence

  • Manage governance initiatives, priorities, risks, and delivery outcomes.
  • Lead change management efforts that increase adoption of governance practices and tools.
  • Develop reporting and scorecards to measure progress and accountability.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve governance efficiency.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate emerging governance and metadata management capabilities to enhance MAPFRE's data ecosystem.
  • Support Data & AI initiatives by strengthening stewardship, metadata, and governance practices.
  • Champion continuous improvement and innovation across data management processes.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Data Management, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Stewardship, Data Architecture, Analytics, or related disciplines.
  • Property & Casualty insurance industry knowledge.
  • Strong experience working directly with business stakeholders, Data Owners, Data Stewards, and technology teams.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of Data Governance operating models, stewardship, metadata management, business glossaries, data ownership, lineage, and data quality.
  • Experience driving adoption of governance practices across multiple business domains or organizational functions.
  • Experience with modern data platforms and analytics ecosystems, with enough technical understanding to work effectively with Data Engineering and Architecture teams.
  • Hands-on SQL coding experience, including the ability to query, analyze, and validate data across complex datasets.
  • Strong analytics mindset, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights, identify patterns, and support informed business decisions.
