Summary:
Profitably manage risk selection in an underwriting territory, through analysis of the information presented, and then selecting, declining, and providing alternatives for the risks reviewed.
Responsibilities:
- Performs agency management responsibilities that involve analyzing, monitoring and evaluating assigned agencies in a territory to identify potential concerns or trends within their book of business.
- Works closely with Business Development Reps and/or Supervisor and assigned agencies, and acts as a liaison to influence the overall profitability, quality and composition of each agency’s book.
Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrate ability to exercise business judgment, effective oral and written communication skills, sales and negotiations skills, analytical skills and effective time management.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or Technical or specialized knowledge or equivalent, related experience.
- 1 - 3 years’ experience
- One-year prior experience in the insurance industry or customer service. Preferably actively enrolled in a degree or CPCU Program.
Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Salary Range $45,300 - $81,700
