Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for screening, coding, and processing all new business, renewal, endorsement, and cancellation transactions in accordance with departmental standards.
You will perform basic analysis to ensure issuance system entry requirements are met, identify and resolve online error conditions, and provide customer service support based on an assigned agency plan. Success in this role requires maintaining established standards for processing speed and accuracy while effectively analyzing and resolving both individual and system-generated errors involving internal systems, external vendors, and Registry systems.
Responsibilities
- Within established authority, screen and approve all new business, renewal, endorsement, and cancellation activity to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established guidelines.
- Process endorsement and cancellation transactions that cannot be processed online by agents.
- Screen and input cancellations and/or reinstatements by verifying loss history, coding, cancellation date, and reason.
- Rate and code manually backdated transactions for endorsements and cancellations, as well as transactions not currently supported by the automated system.
- Ensure transactions are processed accurately and timely within applicable Mapfre and Registry systems. Maintain data entry processing speed and quality ratios consistent with departmental standards, requiring strong organizational and time management skills.
- Based on policy and vehicle information, ensure appropriate rates, classes, and discounts are applied and that accurate premiums are generated and issued through the appropriate processing system.
- Contact agents to resolve discrepancies on applications or other policy requests and process endorsement and cancellation transactions that cannot be completed online by agents.
- Handle the validation of various discounts available through Mapfre.
- Review property inspections on home and dwelling fire policies to ensure dwellings are insured to value.
- Provide daily support to underwriting staff by responding to oral and written inquiries and collaborating with underwriters on risks that exceed assigned authority.
Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education, knowledge, and related experience.
- 0 to 1 years of related experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work accurately in a high-volume processing environment.

Pay Transparency: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Pay Range: $30,900 – $45,500 (non-exempt)
