P/A Technical Services Rep II (Hybrid)

Summary
In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting our billing operations by assisting agents and policyholders with a variety of billing and policy-related needs. You’ll provide timely, accurate responses to inquiries via written correspondence and email, while delivering a high level of professional and caring service.
You’ll work within established quality and productivity standards, complete production reports and assigned projects, identify and escalate potential system issues, and help support and guide less experienced team members. This is a great opportunity to build your expertise in a collaborative and service-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and take action on items appearing on production reports and/or work queues in accordance with procedures and required timeframes
- Recognize and report potential system problems or issues
- Initiate appropriate action and follow up to ensure policy accuracy and resolution
- Make decisions within established standards, applying guidelines and procedures that may require interpretation when handling exceptions
- Use sound judgment to determine the best course of action from multiple pre-defined options
- Respond to written and email inquiries professionally, within established turnaround times and in accordance with procedures
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather information needed to resolve billing functions and exceptions
- Communicate with agents and other stakeholders using proper grammar, professional tone, and empathy
- Provide support and guidance to less experienced P/A Technical Services Representatives
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree, technical certification, or specialized knowledge, or equivalent related experience
- 1–3 years of related experience, or High School diploma/GED with 3–5 years of related work experience
- Experience with Guidewire BillingCenter and/or PolicyCenter
- Experience with AS400, V12, or TronWeb is preferred, but not required
- General knowledge and understanding of industry practices, procedures, and workflows

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Pay Range $42,000 - $48,360 (non-exempt)
