MAPFRE Insurance is seeking highly motivated and intellectually curious college students to join our Actuarial team for a 10-week summer internship from June 1st to August 7th, 2026 in Webster Massachusetts. If you thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and engaging environment, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience to jump start your career.
As an actuarial intern, you will work on real business projects that will have a lasting impact and contribute to our strategic goals. You’ll gain exposure to a variety of actuarial functions through job shadowing, networking, and cross-functional collaboration, while developing technical, analytical and professional skills that support your future career.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large data and provide actionable insights
- Assist in the building and refining of actuarial models and tools
- Present your findings to business partners and leadership
- Collaborate with actuarial and cross-functional teams on business projects
- Actively participate in actuarial and insurance training sessions, networking events, and community volunteering
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Completion of at least one actuarial exam preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or SAS is a plus
