Responsibilities:
- Reads and interprets business requirements or incidents to create a design and coding solution to match the requirements.
- Tests coded solutions to pass developer quality gates to implement a solution to a production environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly, either written or orally with customers, business analysts, project managers, management or peers.
- Collaborates as part of a team to achieve team goals and results
- Supports colleagues with a variety of tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
- Applies critical thinking relative to analysis, planning and implementation of business initiatives.
- Follows DevOps best practices.
- Collaborates on efficient design solutions with global outlook.
- Creates technical specifications.
- Assesses new technologies before adoption and implementation.
- Performs Risk analysis.
- Adopt Agile methodologies to develop software.
- Continually monitors systems performance.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or 5-7 years of professional experience in relevant programming languages.
- Demonstrates good business and product design capability.
- Ability to lead or mentor other technical team members.
- Continuously identifies opportunities to improve technical debt through recommendations and/or coding opportunities.
- Collaborates on efficient design solutions with reuse.
- Creates technical specifications.
- Assesses new technologies before adoption and implementation.
Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at MAPFRE are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Salary Range $100,000 - $130,000
