Job Summary
Position is located on site in Webster, MA. Not a remote position.
Provides oversight and direction to ensure all functions related to the Vendor Management and Finance Operations processes for MAPFRE USA are fulfilled in support of the company’s goals and strategic direction. This role will provide oversight to the VMO Manager to ensure supplier relationships are maintained in compliance with corporate policy and within the Principles and Standards of the supply management profession.
Finance Operations includes, but is not limited to Accounts Payable as well as Agency Compensation. This role is also responsible for coordinating with IT regarding all software upgrades, changes, problems and requirements ensuring the accuracy and control of the data.
Perform various on-going accounting functions and special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education: Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent related experience preferred.
Experience: 9 ‐ 11 years or Masterʹs Degree equivalent plus 7 ‐ 9 years. Proven leadership experience including approximately 10 years in a managerial role.
Knowledge: Complete understanding and knowledge of industry, practices, standards, and concepts within field of work and broad business segment. Solid knowledge of management practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set direction for the VMO, Accounts Payable and Agency Compensation departments. Strategically plan for changes in software, policies, etc. Coordinate with IT regarding all Accounts Payable/VMO software upgrades, changes, problems and requirements
- Manage and coordinate all computerized systems related to VMO, Accounts Payable, and Agency Compensation functions for MAPFRE Insurance
- Act as the contact with regards to internal, external and regulatory audits for the Accounts Payable, Agency Compensation, and VMO functions. Provide necessary information as requested
- Collaborate with VMO Manager with the Corporate/Spain Procurement team
- Strong communication, excellent written, analytical, problem solving, influencing and project management skills
