We’re seeking a visionary Director of Data & Reporting to lead enterprise-wide analytics initiatives that power strategic decisions. This role is pivotal in transforming data into actionable insights, driving innovation, and fostering a culture of data excellence across the organization.
As a senior leader, you will oversee two Senior Managers and their teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data, analytics, and reporting solutions that enable scalability and consistency. You’ll partner with executives and business leaders as a trusted advisor, influencing strategy and championing best practices in data governance and reporting.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Strategy: Define and execute data and reporting strategies aligned with enterprise objectives to maximize business impact.
- Innovate & Scale: Design and implement scalable reporting frameworks and advanced BI tools to ensure consistency and agility.
- Influence & Evangelize: Collaborate with leadership to define key metrics and embed a data-driven culture across the organization.
- Stay Ahead: Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
- Develop Talent: Manage and mentor two Senior Managers and their teams, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive Growth: Set clear performance goals, provide actionable feedback, and create opportunities for professional development and cross-functional learning.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in data science, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field; master’s preferred.
- Experience: 9+ years in data analytics/reporting, including 5+ years in leadership within the insurance industry.
- Technical Expertise:
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Snowflake.
- Experience with automation tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Airflow.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams with a focus on coaching and talent development.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance data and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Project Management: Expertise in mapping, monitoring, and executing complex projects.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at MAPFRE are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Salary Range $170,000 - $235,000
