Summary:
Mapfre is seeking an experienced and business-oriented Data Product Manager to lead the delivery of enterprise data products that power analytics, operational decision-making, AI initiatives, and customer-centric business capabilities.
This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders, data governance, analytics teams, and data engineering. The Data Product Manager owns the roadmap, requirements, adoption, and measurable business outcomes for one or more enterprise data domains such as Customer (Party 360), Policy, Claims, Billing, Finance, Agency, or Pricing.
The successful candidate will ensure data products are trusted, discoverable, reusable, governed, and aligned with Mapfre's strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
Data Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap for assigned data products.
- Define product, outcomes, KPIs, and success metrics.
- Identify opportunities to create new data products that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, business performance.
- Align data product priorities with enterprise strategic initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
- Establish trusted partnerships with business leaders, data owners, data stewards, and technology teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the business domain supported.
- Facilitate prioritization discussions and balance competing demands across stakeholders.
- Translate complex business requirements into actionable data product capabilities and delivery plans.
Product Ownership & Delivery
- Own and manage the data product backlog.
- Define epics, features, user stories, business rules, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
- Work closely with Data Engineers, Architects, BI Developers, and Governance teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Drive delivery of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and iterative enhancements.
- Support Agile planning, sprint reviews, and release activities.
Data Governance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with MAPFRE data governance standards.
- Partner with Data Owners and Data Stewards to define:
- Critical Data Elements
- Business Glossaries
- Data Quality Rules
- Metadata Standards
- Data Lineage Requirements
- Champion governance-by-design principles.
- Monitor and improve the quality, completeness, consistency, and trustworthiness of assigned data products.
Business Analysis & Value Realization
- Perform deep analysis of business processes, data flows, and operational challenges.
- Define measurable outcomes and business value realization plans.
- Track adoption, usage, quality metrics, and product performance.
- Regularly communicate product health, risks, and accomplishments to leadership.
Data Product Lifecycle Management
- Manage the lifecycle of enterprise data products from ideation through retirement.
- Ensure products remain documented, certified, discoverable, governed, and reusable.
- Drive continuous improvement through stakeholder feedback and operational metrics.
- Promote standardization, automation, scalability, and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of Data Product Management, Product Management, Business Analysis, Data Governance, Analytics, or Data Engineering experience.
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions.
- Demonstrated success working with both business and technical teams.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Salary Range
$90,000 - $130,000
