Computer Operator Sr (7am-8pm, 3 days a week)

Are you a detail-driven problem solver with a passion for keeping systems running smoothly? Join our team as a Computer Operator, where your expertise will ensure the reliability and performance of our critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system health and performance, proactively resolving issues to maintain uptime.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
• Lead incident management efforts and collaborate across teams to restore services quickly.
• Uphold data center security and compliance standards.
• Maintain clear documentation of procedures, configurations, and resolutions.
• Stay ahead of the curve with continuous learning in cloud technologies and monitoring tools.
• Partner with IT Help Desk, system admins, and business units to meet SLAs and plan capacity.

 Skills/Abilities

• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Advanced scripting and automation
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure
• Excellent customer service and communication
• Ability to follow procedures and escalate appropriately
• Are logical, detail-oriented, and methodical in your approach
• Can make independent decisions within established parameters
• Enjoy solving complex operational challenges
• Value collaboration and clear communication

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in data center operations, with proven leadership in team settings.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field preferred; Associate’s degree with relevant experience considered.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Hourly pay $25.00-$33.00
