Summary
Drive value and efficiency by sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing a wide range of goods and services while staying within budget and company guidelines. This role blends strategic sourcing with hands-on vendor management—partnering with internal teams and suppliers to deliver high-quality solutions, optimize costs, and support continuous improvement.
You’ll leverage market insights and pricing analysis to inform decisions and negotiate competitive contracts. You’ll also maintain strong supplier relationships, define product specifications to ensure timely delivery, and resolve issues to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Source and procure diverse products and services (technology, office equipment, facilities, and more)
- Partner with stakeholders to understand needs and recommend cost‑effective solutions
- Evaluate and manage suppliers based on quality, service, cost, and reliability
- Analyze bids, negotiate contracts, and manage purchase orders
- Monitor inventory levels and service performance to minimize downtime
- Stay ahead of market trends to identify new opportunities for savings and innovation
- Ensure compliance with procurement standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience.
- 2 - 4 years - or Associates Degree equivalent plus 4 - 6 years.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of procurement information systems is required.
- Proficiency in the use of desktop applications Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with SAP is a plus.
- Experience procuring corporate operational supplies required.
- Experience defining contract terms and specifications while monitoring federal and state laws as they pertain to the purchasing process is preferred.
- Daily interaction with customers, suppliers, and varying levels of management is necessary; contacts require considerable discretion, judgment, and diplomacy.
- CPSM or C.P.M. designation is a plus.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Salary Range $58,800 - $80,800
