Are you a data-driven strategist with a passion for uncovering insights that fuel business growth? Join our dynamic team as a Senior Business Development Analyst, where you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth initiatives by identifying new business opportunities, analyzing market trends, and supporting the development and execution of business strategies.
Responsibilities
· Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends.
· Analyze financial and operational data using tools such as SQL and Python to support strategic decision-making and forecasting.
· Design and implement data processes to integrate data from multiple sources into centralized repositories, cleaning, transforming and validating datasets that ensure accuracy and consistency for analytical use.
· Collaborate with sales, marketing, and underwriting teams to align business strategies and performance goals.
· Develop and present business proposals, dashboards, and performance reports to senior leadership.
· Monitor agency production and performance, enabling segmentation and channel value proposition alignment.
· Support the implementation of business development tools and infrastructure to enhance analytics capabilities.
· Participate in strategic planning sessions, talent forums, and cross-regional assessments to refine BD strategy.
Qualifications
You’re a curious, collaborative, and technically skilled professional who thrives at the intersection of data and strategy.
· 6–8 years of experience in BI, analytics, or business development roles.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, or related field (MBA a plus).
· Proficiency in CRM and business intelligence tools (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI, Excel).
· Working knowledge of SQL and Python for data querying, analysis, visualization and automation.
· Skilled in developing automated workflows and scripts to streamline data processing and reporting.
· Experience with cloud platforms and data warehouse technologies.
· Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus points for:
· Experience in insurance, underwriting, claims, or actuarial domains.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Salary Range
$100,000 - $150,000
