Summary
The Business Intelligence Analyst II is responsible for building and maintaining datasets that support enterprise reporting, data marts, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis. This role leverages advanced analytics, data modeling, and business intelligence expertise to transform complex business requirements into actionable insights and reporting solutions. The analyst partners with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data integrity, improve accessibility of data assets, and provide strategic recommendations that drive informed business decisions.
What You'll Do
- Build, maintain, and optimize datasets that serve as the foundation for enterprise reporting, dashboards, and data marts.
- Perform exploratory data analysis, data manipulation, and data modeling to support business objectives and analytical deliverables.
- Lead and facilitate discussions with business stakeholders to gather, define, and document reporting and visualization requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable, and high-quality technical requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and business departments to provide consultative support on data-related initiatives.
- Develop and support complex ad hoc reporting requests and analytical solutions.
- Apply critical thinking and sound judgment to support the analysis, planning, and implementation of key business initiatives.
- Deliver data-driven insights and prescriptive recommendations that help guide business strategy and decision-making.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, accessibility, and integrity of datasets by applying established data governance and best practices.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 4–6 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, data management, or a related field.
Preferred Experience
Candidates should demonstrate experience in at least two of the following:
- Working in a related function such as Information Technology, Advanced Analytics, or another data-focused discipline, bringing broader perspectives to Business Intelligence initiatives.
- Participating in or leading cross-functional teams.
- Contributing to or leading complex projects and business initiatives.
- Completing assignments or rotations within different teams or departments.
- Working on global or enterprise-wide project teams.

- Advanced data analysis, data modeling, and data manipulation expertise.
- Strong business requirements gathering and documentation skills.
- Experience developing and maintaining reporting datasets and data marts.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Salary Range $87,700 - $135,300
