Job Summary
Under limited supervision, perform a variety of administrative, secretarial and clerical duties for an Officer(s), Manager(s), and/or department staff. Compose routine correspondence and draft non-routine correspondence; interface with a variety of internal and external contacts requiring discretionary skills, tact and diplomacy; compile and analyze data from a variety of sources, extract data from mainframe or client server systems, investigate and resolve discrepancies, determine trends; make complex travel and meeting arrangements. May act as a communications liaison representing the executive’s office to all levels of employees within their organization, handling highly sensitive, confidential, and/or complex matters. Maintain technical publications, manuals, binder, and files; maintain supplies inventory; coordinate department requests; process internal mail; and perform other support activities that may be relevant to the job, job level or specific assignment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education: Associates Degree or Technical or specialized knowledge or equivalent, related experience.
Experience: 4 - 6 years or High School equivalent plus 5 - 7 years.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Typically possesses three to five years related experience. Requires solid knowledge of desktop computer operations and associated office and conference room equipment; solid knowledge of multiple software applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and ability to utilize advanced application features. Ability to type 50 WPM preferred. Specific positions may require solid knowledge of other related software applications or knowledge of processes within department. Requires strong mathematical, communications and interpersonal skills. Requires detailed knowledge of department operations, policies, procedures and staff and solid knowledge of company operations, policies, procedures and personnel. Bilingual skills may be required depending on reporting relationships and/or geographical location.
