Responsibilities

 

  • General Ledger Management:  Inputting all general ledger journal entries and monthly ledger interfaces
  • Fixed Asset Accounting: Prepare and balance Fixed Asset system inputs, including recording purchases, disposals, and depreciation for all companies
  • Reporting & Analysis: Assist the IFRS reporting unit by preparing management reports and analyses as assigned
  • Reconciliations: Prepare general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned
  • Support & Special Projects: Perform various financial accounting support tasks, backup functions, and participate in special projects
  • System Improvements: Participate in software upgrades and maintenance projects, and initiate efficiencies with management approval

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent knowledge/experience
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience, or High School equivalent plus 5–7 years
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and technical aspects of the role
  • Ability to work independently
  • Solid understanding of accounting terminology
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify process improvements

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

 

Salary Range $45,000 - $64,000
