Mapfre is seeking a dynamic Territory Sales Director, Commercial Lines to lead our independent agency distribution strategy and accelerate profitable growth across the state. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll shape market strategy, strengthen agency relationships, and inspire a team of Territory Sales Managers to deliver exceptional results.
As the senior field representative for Mapfre, you’ll serve as a trusted partner to agency leaders and an influential voice within our organization—positioning Mapfre as the carrier of choice in the marketplace.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Develop Talent
- Coach and mentor a team of Territory Sales Managers to achieve ambitious sales, retention, and profitability goals.
- Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and professional growth.
Shape Market Strategy
- Design and execute distribution strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Anticipate market trends and adapt plans to stay ahead of the competition.
Strengthen Agency Partnerships
- Serve as an executive-level contact for key agencies, driving consultative growth strategies.
- Support agency business planning and resolve complex relationship challenges.
Drive Performance
- Monitor sales results and profitability, translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Ensure effective use of Salesforce and reporting tools for data-driven decisions.
Represent mapfre
- Act as the voice of the market to senior leadership, influencing strategic decisions.
- Represent Mapfre at industry events and networking forums.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred). Professional designations (CIC, CLU) strongly preferred.
- 10+ years in P&C insurance sales and distribution, including 5+ years leading field sales teams.
- Experience working within Salesforce or other CRM platforms
- Proven success in building growth strategies and managing agency relationships.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and analytical ability.
- Skilled communicator who can engage executives and agency leaders alike.
- Up to 50% of travel required within Massachusetts

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Salary Range $135,000-$165,000, plus Quarterly Variable Compensation Incentive Plan
