Century Automotive - Reinsurance Compliance Specialist / Hybrid

Join our dynamic Reinsurance Accounting team as a Financial Analyst, apply analytical techniques to drive insights and innovation within Century Automotive Service Corporation (Century). You will aid the decision-making process of business areas by building actionable modeling results. This role works within a highly collaborative environment, influencing projects with high visibility and direct impact on the Century company strategy.
Summary:
The Financial Analyst utilizes technical knowledge and decision-making skills to ensure that the company’s procedures and operations are compliant with regulatory requirements and company policies. Results are documented in compliance reports. Assist in the oversight of Reinsurance Companies from formation through liquidation, including all corporate and tax compliance filings. Meet with management teams to communicate compliance results and recommend appropriate controls. Assist Reinsurance Accounting leadership with the development of Financial Statements of more than 200 companies.
Responsibilities:
- Perform increasingly complex compliance procedures with limited oversight. Compliance procedures include preparation of corporate formation processes; identification of corporate directors, shareholders and officers; and applications for formation in domicile.
- Preparation of Federal tax requests and filings related to corporate formation.
- Preparation of governing management agreement, reinsurance agreements, financial institution trust agreements and other related service provider agreements.
- Tracking and maintenance of annual corporate filing renewals for more than 200 client companies; drafting of year-end financial statements and tax filings for each company.
- Tracking and maintenance of all shareholder loans including preparation and execution of loan documents.
- Correspondence with internal and external clients and business associates.
- Maintain effective and productive business relationships with business teams. Conduct oneself in a professional, responsible, and ethical manner at all times. Client facing position that requires direct communication with clients and agent representatives
- Assist with ad-hoc projects as assigned by Reinsurance Accounting management
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including excellent attention to detail, are required.
- Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience.
- 2 - 4 years - or Associates Degree equivalent plus 4 - 6 years
- Verbal and written communication skills are required. Individual must possess the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels, including Senior Management.
